In 2026 six of the eight venues in our listings were in Laganas, and the other two stood on the road between Zante Town and Argassi, about 8.6 km from the Laganas strip by road. Sleep in Laganas for the strip and the beach, in Argassi for Gatsby and Club Barrage, in Kalamaki for calmer days in between, or in Zante Town for the port and the old town.

The venues on this site sit in two clusters in the south-east of Zante. Laganas has the strip and the beach clubs on the bay. The Argassi side of Zante Town has Gatsby Live Theater and Club Barrage, on the road towards Vasilikos. Where you sleep decides which nights are a walk and which are a short ride. Here are the four bases that make sense for a party trip, compared by the nights they put on your doorstep.
The short answer
Stay in Laganas if most of your plan is the beach afternoons and the strip: in 2026 that meant Favelas on Mondays, Beach Party and Little Italy on Tuesdays, Paradiso Sunset and Papi Chulo on Thursdays, Champagne Spray and Dolce Vita on Saturdays, and the Mamma Mia! boat from the port of Laganas on Wednesdays.
Stay in Argassi if you are coming for Gatsby Live Theater and Club Barrage: Martedì Bianco on Tuesdays, Italiano Night on Wednesdays, Elegant Party on Fridays, and the Latin Party or a Gatsby headliner on Sundays.
Stay in Kalamaki if you want calmer days with both clusters a short ride away, and in Zante Town if you arrive by ferry or want the old town in the evening.

Laganas: the strip and the beach clubs
Greece's official tourism site calls Laganas the heart of Zakynthos nightlife, with a main strip around 3 km long. In 2026 it held six of our eight venues. Sizzle Club is on Laganas Road, and Garrison Club is practically its neighbour on the main strip, about 70 metres away on the map. Pure Zante is around 600 metres from Sizzle, an eight-minute walk. AURA is on Laganas Street. Infinity Beach Club and El Paradiso Beach Club are on Laganas beach itself.
Sleeping here means four of the seven weekly party days are on foot, plus the Wednesday boat from the local port. The bay in front is part of the National Marine Park of Zakynthos, created in 1999 to protect one of the Mediterranean's key loggerhead turtle breeding areas, so your mornings come with a protected sea. For Club Barrage and Gatsby nights, plan a ride of about 8.6 km by road, around 10 minutes by car.
Argassi: Gatsby Live Theater and Club Barrage
Argassi sits on the coast just south-east of Zante Town, and the official tourism site describes it as a mix of tavernas, cocktail bars and smaller clubs. Gatsby Live Theater has an Argassi address on the Zakynthos–Vasilikos road. Club Barrage stands on the same road in the Argassi area, about 1.7 km from the village centre: around 22 minutes on foot or two minutes by car.
In 2026 these two venues covered four days a week: Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday, including all four Gatsby headliners. Gatsby and Club Barrage are about 8.6 km by road from the Laganas strip, around 10 minutes by car, so the Laganas nights become a short taxi ride. KTEL Zakynthos runs a local Argasi–Zakynthos line for daytime trips into town.

KTEL Zakynthos runs local lines from Zante Town to Laganas, Kalamaki and Argassi, plus Laganas–Kalamaki and the airport.
Kalamaki: the calm base in between
Kalamaki lies between the two clusters: about 4.8 km by road from Laganas and 4.5 km from Club Barrage, both under ten minutes by car. It is also the closest base to the airport after Zante Town, 4.5 km from the terminal.
Greece's tourism site recommends Kalamaki for a more relaxed evening, with cocktail bars, restaurants and music by the sea. Its beach is one of the turtle nesting beaches of the National Marine Park, open to visitors from 07:00 to sunset, which gives the days here an early, sunny rhythm. KTEL runs Kalamaki–Zakynthos and Laganas–Kalamaki lines. Choose Kalamaki if your week mixes both clusters and you like to come back to a calmer place.
A turtle-friendly beach
Kalamaki is a nesting beach of the National Marine Park of Zakynthos: open to visitors from 07:00 to sunset.
Zante Town: port, buses and old-town evenings
Zakynthos Town is the island's capital and its arrival point by sea, with the ferry terminal on the harbour and the KTEL central bus station in town. Club Barrage is about 1.7 km by road from the ferry terminal.
For the evening before you go out, Bochali on the hill behind the town has bars with views over the town and the Ionian. Laganas is about 8 km by road and the airport 4 km. Zante Town suits travellers who like a real town around them, with Club Barrage and Gatsby close by and the Laganas nights a ride away.

Italian afternoons and the strip: Laganas. Beach Party, Paradiso Sunset, Champagne Spray, Little Italy, Papi Chulo, Favelas and Dolce Vita were all a walk away in 2026.
